Why gapless numbering and exact totals matter
Invoice numbers should run in an unbroken sequence — many tax authorities expect it, and gaps invite questions. Platybooks generates each number on the server the moment you finalize, under a lock, so two invoices can never grab the same number and you never end up with holes in the sequence. Yes. You can email an invoice straight from Platybooks with the PDF attached, and your client can open it from a link in their browser. How does invoice numbering work?
